Katie H. King, a partner at Wake Family Law Group, has been selected as the incoming chair of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association, effective July 1, 2021. Katie previously served as a council member for the NCBA Family Law Section and was the secretary of the section for 10 years. She is a frequent and well-known speaker on family law issues.
The NCBA Family Law section includes over 1400 family law attorneys from across the state and promotes improvements in family law practice and jurisprudence by legislative changes, practice guides, legal education, pro bono services, and mentoring programs.
