Justin L. Mauney is a partner at Wake Family Law Group and a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law. With nearly two decades of experience, Justin focuses his practice exclusively on North Carolina family law, representing clients in both the negotiation and litigation of complex domestic matters.
Justin is certified as a Family Financial Mediator by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission and regularly serves as a mediator in family law matters. He was named the 2027 Best Lawyers® “Lawyer of the Year” for Family Law Mediation in Raleigh, an honor awarded to only one attorney in each practice area and geographic region each year.
Justin is actively involved in the North Carolina Bar Association’s Family Law Section and serves as co-chair of its Equitable Distribution Committee. He has also been recognized by Business North Carolina as a Legal Elite honoree in Family Law.
Justin earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Campbell University School of Law. While in law school, Justin served as Executive Editor of the Campbell Law Review and represented Campbell Law in trial competitions across the country.
A native of Cary, North Carolina, Justin continues to call Cary home, where he lives with his wife, Sarah, and their twin children.
