Mollie S. Ellis has dedicated her practice to family law since she graduated from Elon University School of Law in 2017, representing her clients in all stages of the domestic law process from high conflict litigation to negotiating settlements.
Mollie is certified in collaborative law and enjoys helping clients resolve issues through the collaborative process. She was recognized by Business North Carolina Legal Elite in the “Young Gun” category in 2023 and by North Carolina Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in Family Law in 2024.
Mollie earned her J.D. from Elon University School of Law and her B.S. at Meredith College, majoring in both Business Administration and English. In law school, Mollie competed as a member of the Elon Law Moot Court Board and also served as a Guardian ad Litem assisting the court in representing the best interests of children in the community. Mollie also interned at the Children’s Law Center of Central North Carolina while in law school, advocating for better custodial arrangements for children living in homes impacted by domestic violence. She also externed with the Domestic Court in Wake County reviewing family law proceedings and working with Judges to prepare Orders based on their rulings.
Prior to joining WFLG, Mollie worked as a family law attorney based in Charlotte.
Mollie is a member of the Wake County Bar Association, the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, and the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA).
