RALEIGH, NC – Wake Family Law Group is proud to announce that Nancy L. Grace, a distinguished member of our family law team, will be honored with the prestigious 2024 Joseph Branch Professionalism Award. This award is the highest honor granted by the Wake County Bar Association. It is awarded each year to a Wake County attorney with at least 25 years of practice who exemplifies the values of professionalism as stated in the WCBA’s professionalism creed.
The award will be presented at the WCBA’s annual luncheon on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the University Club, located at 4200 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC.
Nancy Grace’s career reflects her deep expertise in family law, her unwavering dedication to her clients, and her active involvement in service to the legal profession, making her a respected leader within Wake County’s legal community. This award is a testament to her dedication to the legal profession, her compassionate client care, and her commitment to professional integrity.

Nancy L. Grace, a partner at Wake Family Law Group, has been a leader in family law for decades. She is a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law since 2003 and a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, as well as a NCDRC-certified Family Financial Mediator. Nancy holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating for legal ability and ethics. She has been consistently named a Super Lawyer in Family Law by North Carolina Super Lawyers from 2008 onward, including recognition among the Top 100 North Carolina attorneys and Top 50 Women attorneys. Since 2014, she has been listed in Best Lawyers in America, receiving the title of Lawyer of the Year in Family Law in Raleigh in 2017 and 2023.
A graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill, where she earned her B.A. in Spanish, Master’s Degree in Teaching, and J.D. with Honors, Nancy taught at North Carolina State University before entering law. She has held leadership positions across the legal community, including Past President of the Tenth Judicial District Bar and of the NC Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, as well as Chair of the Family Law Section of both the North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice.
